Redwoods and Rivers has been leading its 6-day River Guide program for close to 20 years. Every year people in transition come to Redwoods and Rivers to experience the healing power of rivers and the people that surround them. Among the many topics covered are: paddle guiding rafts, reading whitewater, anatomy of rivers, outdoor food preparation for groups, natural and cultural history, outdoor leadership, river safety, river etiquette, and basic swiftwater rescue techniques. Teamwork and decision making are taught and practiced throughout our school.
